| The curling rink structure stood from 1944 to present day. It was used by people of all ages (school classes started using the facility in 1946-47).It was host to a variety of events over the years up until approximately 2003.The building sat vacant the last few years and on March 5th, 2021, a large section of the roof failed as a result of snow load and wind damage.There is a more detailed, interesting write up about the building and the committees that served throughout the years’ in the history book, “Where Aspens Whisper”.On June 2nd, 2021, demolition began, and several days later the lot was returned to grade.
